How does my film opening show progression in the standards of filming compared to the preliminary?

My film opening shows progression from the preliminary task in many ways, such as through: a wider variety of shots, cohesive editing, fluent titles and more characterisation through makeup and costume. 

In my preliminary task, we did not focus on asmany close ups or pay too much attention on the lighting and how that can portray the desired mood. Not much characterisation was done in our prelim either, the characters were wearing the clothes as they usually would which  could have been thought about more in order to portray the characters' personas.

What have i learnt from completing this coursework?

From completing this coursework I have realised that research and planning plays a vital role in a successful film opening. Before I did not realise that every piece of the task had to be carefully thought about and planned before creating a final outcome. I have also realised the amount of shots that are vital when creating the right genre that you want to portray.
